We live in an era where our medical freedom is increasingly under attack, and “healing” has been replaced with “treating” disease, most often with toxic chemicals and surgery
Conventional medical care is a leading cause of death, often causing humans to sacrifice their health instead of improving it
The drug-based medical model depends on belief that your body needs chemicals to stay well; if we all embraced our bodies’ innate healing potential, the drug-based, disease-treatment medical system would crumble
Until real systemic change takes place, your best health strategy is to employ and maintain a naturally healthy lifestyle that will optimize your body’s innate healing abilities and minimize your need for drugs, surgery and conventional medical care
In 1776, Dr. Benjamin Rush, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, foretold a grim scenario that has now taken shape right before our eyes. He said:
“Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution the time will come when medicine will organize itself into an undercover dictatorship. To restrict the art of healing to doctors and deny equal privileges to others will constitute the Bastille of medical science. All such laws are un-American and despotic.”
Now, in 2012, we are very much facing this reality, as we live in an era where our medical freedom is increasingly under attack, and “healing” has been replaced with “treating” disease, most often with toxic chemicals and surgery. This drug-driven medical paradigm not only depends on the sacrifice and, some might say, torture, of animals in medical research, but also in many ways uses humans as sacrificial lambs.
Dr. Wilson comments:
I couldn’t agree with you more. I work as a Hospitalist so I end up treating these folks who have been the victim of our modern healthcare system.
The other day I admitted a middle-aged male who works as a school administrator. He was admitted for a possible TIA because family members and co-workers noticed that his speech was off. They also noticed that his memory was so poor that he could no longer function at work. They were concerned that he was developing dementia.
The only medication he was taking was Crestor. He had no history of heart disease and no family history of vascular problems. I suggested that he immediately stop the Crestor because memory problems are a common side effect of statins.
I also measured his homocysteine level and it was almost 18—extremely high. I suggested he take a B-complex vitamin and l-methylfolate as a supplement because high levels of homocysteine suggests that he doesn’t have enough folic acid in his brain to make neurotransmitters like dopamine, norepinephrine and serotonin. The simple solution is to take l-methylfolate, the only form of folic acid that can cross the blood-brain barrier.
I also found that his uric acid and triglyceride levels were high and his HDL (good) cholesterol was low. This is a clear indication that he has been consuming too much fructose mainly from sugar and HFCS. When you combine these toxic elements with high glycemic carbohydrates, over time you can develop a diffuse brain dysfunction we now call “sugar-brain”. People with sugar-brain crave carbohydrates so they keep consuming the very food that is frying their brain. If they continue to eat this food, at some point sugar-brain can transition to a serious medical condition called Carbohydrate Associated Reversible brain syndrome or CARB syndrome. People with CARB syndrome can develop up to 22 disabling brain dysfunction symptoms and they tend to store excessive body fat at any caloric intake.
