I been preaching about the adverse effects of highly processed food on brain function for many decades. Over time, this type of diet can screw up your brain in a predictable way that fits the pattern of a disease. I call this disease Carbohydrate Associated Reversible Brain syndrome or CARB syndrome. Because the 22 symptoms of CARB syndrome overlap with many traditional disorders, the medical and scientific communities have gotten things really, really mixed up. For example, bipolar disorder I has been around since the dawn of mankind. It’s characterized by psychosis, depression, and mania. Over the past 50-60 years, we have seen a lot of folks with hypomania, mood swings, and no psychosis. The experts decided to call this disease “bipolar disorder II”. I have news for you. There’s no such thing as bipolar II. Every one of these patients have CARB syndrome, a disorder that has nothing to do with classic bipolar disorder. If you treat them with anti-psychotics, over time they get worse and develop metabolic disorders and obesity—not a pretty picture.
It’s been quite challenging to get the word out about CARB syndrome, but that’s beginning to change. Martha Rosenberg recently wrote this wonderful article that was published in The Epoch Times on 10/19/22. For the sake of your health and the health of those you care for, I recommend that you carefully read this informative article.
